Advertise, and do collabs with a lot of people to get exposure. This ain't my type of music but I'm still feeling it. Keep trying and you'll probably go mainstream.

Hey 5thFlaw!
I've done a lot of promo online since my album (Let The Candle Burn) was released in 2000 and it has been really good. I have also been focusing my efforts on doing offline stuff and trying to soundscan my album at gigs, do industry showcases etc. A few majors have already approached me but the direction they wanted me to go in was not what I was feeling whatsoever, so I have really been doing the Indie thing and trying to establish myself and get a good track-record going. I'm really wanting to get a P& or to license my next CD out to a major or indie-major. But you kow how it is, this business is tough, so you just gotta keep goin at it and doin your thang regardless.
I'm working on a new album that will be out in the Spring and I am hoping to hit the overseas markets with it and get some exposure abroad.
I appreciate you listening and offering advice. All the support I can get really makes a difference!
Peace,
Natalie

I like how you didn't let the majors push you around, it would be a shame to see them squash your talents. You have a great voice and it is wayyyy better than most signed artists
